Liebe Nova Teammitglieder,
Dear Nova Team members,

als jüngstes Teammitglied (nein, nein nicht an Jahren) darf ich die Gelegenheit nützen um mich bei Euch mit einigen Sätzen vorzustellen (einige von Euch kenne ich ja schon persönlich oder zumindest vom Mail).
being the youngest team member (no, no not measured in years) I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself (some of you I already know personally or via E-mails)

Mein Name ist Thomas Hofbauer
My name is Thomas Hofbauer

Ich bin geboren am 27 Oktober 1972 und wohne in St. Ruprecht an der Raab, unweit des Schöckels.
I´m born on the 27 October 1972 und live in St. Ruprecht on the Raab, close to the Schöckl

Bin von Beruf Kfz Technikermeister und beim Öamtc für alle Schulungen zuständig, nebenbei bin ich gerichtlich beeideter Sachverständiger und Vortragender am Wifi.
I`m a master in motor vehicles and responsible for all kinds of trainings for the ÖAMTC, incidentally I´m also an officially recognized expert and lecturer at Wifi.

In der Oststeiermark aufgewachsen, mit den Bergen vor der Haustüre entdeckte ich schnell meine Leidenschaft für alles was in der Natur stattfindet.
I grew up in the east part of Styria and since the mountains were so close I discovered my passion for any kind of activities in the nature.

Zu meinen Hobbies zählen unter anderem: Wandern, MTB, Skitouren, Snowkiten, Langlaufen, Klettern, Kanufahren, Laufen, gemeinsame Wohnmobilurlaube mit der Familie und natürlich Gleitschirmfliegen in jeder Form, am liebsten natürlich mit einem Nova Schirm. Fliege zurzeit mit einem Mentor 3 S und einem Ibex 15
My hobbies are: Trekking, Mountain biking, Ski touring, Snow kiting, Cross country skiing, climbing, canoeing, jogging, holidays with my family in my motor home and of course paragliding in all kinds, dearest with my Nova paraglider at the moment I´m flying a Mentor 3S and an Ibex 15.

Sport spielte in meinem Leben immer eine wichtige Rolle ob Motorcross, Mountainbiken oder Downhill ganz egal was gerade mein Favorit war, das Paragleiten ließ mich seit meinem 16. Lebensjahr nie mehr los.
Doing sport was always a dominant part of my life, like Motocross, Mountain bike or Downhill didn`t matter what I was preferring at the moment but since I turned 16 years paragliding was always one of my favorite activities

Eine neue Dimension tat sich vor 3 Jahren auf als ich das Erste Mal bei den Crossalps startete. Die Kombination von Ausdauer, Fliegen, Navigation, Wetter und Teamgeist war das was ich immer gesucht hatte. Seitdem nehme ich mit meinem Supporter Hubi bei diversen Veranstaltungen dieser Art sehr erfolgreich Teil.
A new dimension appeared in my life as I took part for the 1st time in the crossalps competition. The combination of stamina, flying, navigation, weather and team spirit was exactly what I have been searching for all the time. Since that moment I take successfully part with my supporter Hubi at various competitions of that kind.

Meine Ziele für heuer sind wieder diverse Walk and Fly Bewerbe wie Crossalps und Bordairline, aber in erster Linie natürlich mein großer Traum X-Alps mit meinem tollem Supporterteam Hubi und meinem Schatz Vera (die ja schon seit längerem eine Teamkollegin von Euch ist)
My goals for this year are again various Walk & Fly competitions like the Crossalps and Bordairline, but of course in the first place of my big dream the X-alps competition with my great supporter team Hubi and my darling Vera (who is since quite some time a team colleague of all of you )
