Chabre Open

Next Post Previous Post

Hi you all,

i told you to keep you informed about the Chabre open…. Well it started yesterday with a test task from about 30 km. Chavert and i started of early. the wind was sw and strong. in the end chavert and i made goal. chjavert beat me fair and squire and was second and leaving me with a third place. …son beats father :-) . from the 90 pilots , about thirty made it into goal.
Today on the first official day the conditions were very good, less wind (they said) higher inversion (3km) so a more challinging task. 65 km.
Chavert was away as one of the first and racing toward the first turnpoints. as it turned out he was a bit to early. conditions were getting better during the day. i started later but because the termals got better i could take the lead. unfortunally the guys behind me got a huge thermal and they dicide to turn north to goal and i went south over the flatland (were else :-) ) not one thermal over the flatlands so i landed about 6 km before goal. only 5 pilots made it to goal leaving me at the 10e position. Chavert has a bit of cathing up to do but conditions looking good this week….
cheers to you all..
