Hey guys, my name is Matt Stanford and I am the new Team Pilot from New Zealand. Now that our season has wrapped up down here, (sob and jealous looks at the Northern Hemisphere!), it is time to get around to all those ideas you talk about but are too focused on thermal chasing to get around to! Here is a video of the first ever flight at a cliff  minutes from my house that has changed massively because of our Earthquakes. I scoped out a couple of take-offs (one involved me clearing some shrubbery from the pretty insecure edge when a wee aftershock came!), in the end the wind was on the more relaxed take-off, which made Donna, my girlfriend, happier!! Apologies it is such a super low quality video, it is only on a digi-cam- don’t try to watch it in full screen!!!

Hopefully I will get a new camera before my next winter idea… Anyway here it is:
